Mandira Shahi is working as an Associate Professor in TU, IOM, National Center for Health Professions Education (NCHPE). She has been visited many countries such as; India, England, The Netherlands, Singapore, Dubai, Bangladesh, Belgium, Germany, Malaysia, Thailand,India, Australia, Finland for the educational tour. She did Bachelor's Degree in Community Health Nursing in1988. Further, she did Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) from University Maastricht, The Netherlands in 2001. She did M. Phil in Education, from 'The Global Open University Nagaland', India stance learning) in 2010. Now she is PhD Scholar. She has started job as staff nurse in (1980) Maternity Hospital, Thapathali, Kathmandu for Six month. She did job in TU, IoM in 1980 as Assistant Instructor as well as Hostel warden in Nepalgunj A.N.M. Campus. She became Deputy Instructor and field coordinator in ANM Campus Nepalgunj, in 1986. She is deputed in T.U. Teaching Hospital from Jan-Sept in 1988. She became Hostel Warden in Pokhara Nursing Campus in 1991. Moreover, she had been transferred in Pokhara Nursing Campus 1998. She did the post of Hostel Warden in 1990 and Assistant Lecturer Field Coordinator in 1991 in Pokhara Nursing Campus. She transferred to Nursing campus, Maharjgunj in 1997 as a lecturer and after six month she had been deputed in Medical Education Department in 1997. She became Coordinator of Clinical Elective Programme for Foreign Medical Students in 2005 to till today. She had been promoted as Associate Professor in 2006. She got an opportunity of Acting Executive Director of NCHPE many times since 2007. In 2007, she worked as a facilitator resource Person to Develop of various levels and various professionals' curriculum including communication skills in TU, IOM. Similarly, she worked as Secretary of Nepal Teachers' Association of Pokhara Nursing Campus in 1991, Secretary of Nursing Association of Nepal, Pokhara in 1992-1994, President of the Nepal Teachers' Association in 1996 and Secretary of Nepal Teacher’s Association, Nursing Campus, Maharajgunj in 2004. She worked as Coordinator for Teacher Training in NCHPE in 2004 to till today. She worked as a member, Joint Secretary in 2001-2009 and Vice President in 2010 in STI-AIDS (HASTI-AIDS) Branch of IUSTI, International Union against STI. She is working as a president in HASTI. She became the Executive Members of Association of British Alumni in Nepal (ABAN) from 2006 – 2010 and Chairperson of subject committee of nursing in 2010. She worked as member of faculty board TU, IoM and member of management committee of NCHPE in 2011. Likewise, she got training onTeaching Primary Health Care in U.K. in 1993. She participated in "WHO Regional Training Programme on Innovations in Health Personnel Education" TU, IOM, NCHPE in 1997. She has been participated in Challenges to Sustainable Health Development in Urban Areas in Asia conducted by National University of Singapore and University of Oslo in 2003. She participated in International Training of Trainers Course on Essentials Newborn Care at the ICMH, Matuail Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2006. In 2010, she presented paper on abstract of ‘Feasibility Study Regarding Distance Education Technology among Graduate Level Nurses’, Nepal, International Conference on Nursing (ICON) - Technology and Innovation in Nursing, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She participated in Global Health Update: Non-Governmental Organizations, Climate Change and Child Health organized by The Finnish Medical Society Duodecim and University of Tampere, Hotel, Rantapuisto, Helsinki, Finland in 2012. She participated in Pre-conference workshop on Qualitative Methods, Online Learning and Three day conference as a Delegate organized by South East Asia International and Indian National Conference on Health Professions Education (SEARAME NCHPE 2012), PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India in 2012. She has experience in various research and module development. She is also taking classes of various level and various health professions such as; Bachelor Sciences in Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing, Master in Nursing, M.B.B.S, BPH, PG and MPH etc.
